Our Clients

IndigoBlue works with our customers to build world class IT delivery capability. We enable organisations to embrace the latest Agile thinking to revolutionise every aspect of IT from strategy and annual planning through business engagement and implementation to release management.

Software delivery processes have evolved and improved beyond recognition during the last decade. Organisations who have embraced the change have realised significant improvements in speed to market, quality, fit, and ultimately in customer and stakeholder satisfaction. Those organisations who remain entrenched in waterfall methodologies with out-dated development and testing practices are failing their business.

Our approach to successful Agile adoption has been developed over 10 years and is proven to deliver immediate benefit and rapidly achieve long-term organisational sustainability. This will typically require two streams of work: the first focussed on development of staff skills, knowledge and understanding; the second aimed at successfully delivering Agile projects.

Assess, Enhance and Embed

This stream of work is used to build skills and understanding.

Assessment is used to ensure consistency of understanding within the organisation and to establish the context for change; to define the goal, understand the requirements for improvement and provide and overall roadmap for the change.

The requirements for the Enhance and Embed phase will be determined within the Assessment phase. This phase is used to build-upon the existing organisational capability and embed it within the culture of the organisation. Typically this will require support at the three levels required for successful Agile adoption: Agile engineering, Agile management and Agile governance.

Reference Projects

The objective of running a reference project is to provide a benchmark of what can be achieved using Agile and demonstrate how organisation constraints should be addressed. The model project should achieve the benefits associated with the approach e.g. early return on investment, improved fit, better customer engagement, and higher quality.

The Reference Project approach is as follows:

Elaboration is a short period designed to review the project, establish if it is appropriate for the Model and prepare for implementation. The deliverable for the phase is the incremental strategy and plan for implementation.

During Implementation IndigoBlue provides intensive project-based support to ensure successful delivery.

Agile Artefacts

Key to the long-term sustainability of Agile is the development of standards relating to the use of Agile. This will include, but is not limited to: the standardisation of the process; governance and reporting standards; organisational approaches to test; configuration management and release management; tools; and role definitions.

IndigoBlue uses its standard framework - ADAPT - to provide a basis for these standards and artefacts and we will work with the organisation to refine them within projects to meet the prevailing context.
